Renew your hold with Que(e)ry Librarians at our first event since January 2020! "Que(e)ry: Renewal" begins after the ALA Rainbow Round Table Social (Sunday 6-8pm at Red Bear Brewing Company, 209 M St. NE) at the ALA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C.
Our beneficiary the Rainbow History Project is a DC-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to collect, preserve, and promote an active knowledge of the history, arts, and culture of metropolitan Washington DC’s diverse LGBTQ+ communities.
Our co-sponsor EveryLibrary is the first and only national political action committee for libraries, and is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization whose primary goal is to ensure stable funding and access to libraries for generations to come.
Accessibility Information: The venue entrance, first floor, and outdoor patio are wheelchair accessible at street level.
Conduct: Que(e)ry values consent, inclusion, and respect for the identities and boundaries of all who attend. Please speak to a Que(e)ry organizer or venue staff if you experience or witness discriminatory, harassing, or non-consensual conduct.
COVID Precautions: For the safety and health of our community, Que(e)ry strongly encourages masking and up-to-date vaccinations for all attendees. The host venue has outdoor space, and as of June 26, is requiring masks when patrons are walking through the space and ordering at the bars. Staff will be masked and negative tests are required for staff before their shifts. Que(e)ry is keeping an eye on any changes to local conditions and regulations in DC, and ALA's health and safety measures for conference attendees (although Que(e)ry is not hosted by or affiliated with ALA).
